Great question!  There is certainly a lot of conflicting information being published about the use of GMO's.  Understandably, this can leave our members feeling confused and concerned.  We are not aware of any of our farm partners using GMO seeds.  In addition, there are actually only 10 crops for which you can even find GMO varieties in the US: alfalfa, apples, canola, corn, cotton, papaya, potatoes, soybeans, squash and sugar beets. (source: www.nongmoproject.org/gmo-facts/what-is-gmo/) It's actually a myth that most seeds are genetically modified!  That being said, if you desire extra assurance that your produce does not contain GMO's, you can always filter our menu for organic items where GMO's are strictly prohibited.

With respect to chemicals, we certainly share your concerns about safety in how our food is grown.  We are committed to sourcing produce with zero to minimal chemicals and will always be upfront and transparent about our farmers and their growing methods.  Our conventional farmers use as little chemicals as possible but are not regulated as to how their crops are treated.  Our organic farm partners are certified organic by the USDA. This certification requires that they adhere to very strict rules and regulations.  Although each of our Organic farm partners has their own all-natural methods for pest control and fertilization, they never use synthetic pesticides, synthetic fertilizers or genetically modified organisms (GMO's).
